The congregation of St. John’s Unitarian Universalist Church first met in 1868, when it was known as German Protestant St. John’s Church. The congregation became Unitarian in 1924. (It’s prior building is now The Transept, a venue for weddings and other events.)

The Gathering at Northern Hills is a merger of The Gathering, a congregation founded in the 1980s that later associated with the United Church of Christ, and the Northern Hills [UU] Fellowship, founded in 1991.

The Hopedale UU Community in Oxford, Ohio, started in 1990.

Harmony, a Unitarian Universalist Community, started in 2009, when several UUs at existing churches wanted a location north of Cincinnati.
